• In nowadays Hong Kong, endless consuming habits and the accumulation of wealth cause drastic depletion of natural resources. Through the activity, students are encouraged to have a closer contact with the nature and have a deeper understanding about our living environment.

• The threat of global warming is being a world concerning issue recently. It is highly suggested that personal experience is far more important than knowledge on textbooks. The trip helps students know more about the significance of protecting the earth.
  
  
• ‘Examples are better than percept” – a recent motto emphasized by the education field. Amazing race 2008 provide the chance for parents to make this motto into real action. Through all the activities in the competition, family unity can be raised, parents can make use of the chance to act as a role model and work with our next generation, make it a better world.

• There will be checkpoints along the route. The groups are required to finish simple tasks before they proceed to the next checkpoint. Through spending time in nature with family members, the trip enhances family integrity and closure between secondary students and their family.
